Strike a Pose

Grandma Mosoff made this beautiful dress for Evelyn and found the outfit for Oliver. We are finally getting used to Kent's toothless grin! Makes us think of a certain song (All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth)! Kent had his first date on Friday (with his mom). We went to dinner and did some shopping at Walmart for a certain sister's birthday! Oliver has mastered the skill of rolling over and now needs to figure how to get back over. He loves his new jumperoo and loves to show us the joy of bouncing! Happy New Year!

"Santa's the Coolest"
Kent exclaimed this upon seeing the huge bouncer in the playroom. Michelle and Aaron thank Santa for this item--now we can tell the kids to go bounce out their energy on cold winter days. We had a nice Christmas, it so much fun watching the kids open their gifts. Evelyn was especially excited to get the "lunchable" she asked Santa for in her letter. Kent received hot wheels galore--Carrying cases, cars, a batman racetrack, V-Drop, Octopark, and even a toothbrush (with powerranger toothpaste). Evelyn enjoyed gettina a princess dance mat, Belle doll with tea set, Island princess barbi with matching dress, Telestory games. There was so much more from books, games, candy--Grandparents and relatives are so good to us. Thank you for making are holiday a fun one! We spent the day sledding, eating, and playing Cranium at the Wilson household. They're a crazy bunch! Our favorite memory is giving the kids pajamas on Christmas Eve. They put them on and immediately ran upstairs, "Where are you going?" "To Bed, Santa's coming!"

~Brotherly Kindness~
Kent loves to babysit for his chore of the day.
He is very gentle with Oliver and knows
just how to entertain him, usually
with a song or story.

Preschool girls should come with an
instruction manual. Evelyn keeps us
on our toes! She is our cucumber and
chocolate loving girl!

He is growing like a weed! Oliver's 3-6 months clothes are barely fitting and he seems to be in a constant growth spurt. We are enjoying his sweetness!

Christmas is in the air and around the door frames!

Christmas Memories~

Once upon a time Aaron thought about what my Christmas present was going to be before the night of . . . it was Christmas 2002. We had moved to Vermont (for the first time) a few months earlier and he was a greenie in law school. Kent was our only child (I don't even remember what that was like, as I am currently being jumped on by two of them). Instead of a Christmas tree we had a wreath, because we were heading to Oklahoma for the holidays. When we got back from the trip our car was completely covered with snow at the airport--a nice introduction to New England winters! Well back to the gift, he named a star in my honor called "The Place Our Choice was Made." He even went to pains to frame the certificate!

Has it really been 5 years?
I found these photos of Kent from Christmas 2002 in Pryor, OK. We were visiting Grandma Gayla and Grandpa Roger. Where did all the blonde hair go? Oh well, he is gorgeous with his thick, dark hair and blue eyes. I love my big boy Kent!

For anyone thinking of giving us a gift this holiday season, we have set up a Gift Registry with Heifer International. We have been exceptionally blessed this year by many of you and we are looking for a way to share with those in need.

"I'm related to her?"

We had our first snow and the temperature had dropped to 15 degrees! This is the time of year Aaron starts longing for Florida!

A week ago Aaron announced that he had invited an US Ambassador and his wife to dinner the next day---he is so male! So with the help of a friend the house got clean and a nice dinner prepared. Above is the dark chocolate-filled pears I made for dessert. It turned out to be a nice evening! Aaron tooked the kids to McDonalds for dinner (as to not get the house dirty). They said hello and goodnight to our guests--as to not reveal the true nature of our house at dinner time!

It is a little scary to think about what a parent will do sometimes to get a good photo of their children! Beg, plead, bribe, make ridiculous faces, threaten. Oh well, at least their cute to begin with! We didn't realize that our street is trick-or-treating central. We bought 2 large bags of candy and then we saw cars upon cars parking in front of the house. Luckily, we went to the church party and turned off our light for 2 hours. Next year we will be better prepared!
The party was fun! The kids did a small parade--Evelyn walked with her Sunbeams teachers Sister Burkeholder and her friend Sage. The youth created fun games--tossing rings around drinks, boobing for apples, and eating donuts off a string without using your hands. As you can tell Kent broke the rules! As expected, Evelyn did quite well eating the donut. She has a nack for eating anything! Oliver was passed around from person-to-person, spreading joy wherever he went. Aaron helped the kids carve pumpkins--don't they look great? Aaron tried to win a drink, it only took 12 tosses but he got his rootbeer!

We had a enjoyable time Monday on a hayride to a pumpkin patch with our friends. Evelyn, Ava, Alison, Amanda, and Paxton bundled up on a chilly morning and bumped along on a barren field. Evelyn chose a small pumpkin and came back to the farm to see the chickens. She got to collect a dozen to bring home. We had a nice dinner with them! It's that time of year again when we get have to get back into the routine of bundling up everyday. In Vermont, everyone is freezing now that it's 30 degrees, but come March it will warm up to the same temperature and everyone will be out without jackets feeling very warm!

For Family Night, we created a haunted gingerbread house. Not as easy as it seemed especially with children eating the decorations! Aar is good at these types of projects and did all the detail work. Notice the progression in photos from white teeth to black teeth as the icing was licked off fingers!

It isn't even Halloween yet, but the candy is are flowing into the house! After Kent attended a science experiment birthday for Wells Cook, we went to a Halloween party at the South Royalton chapel. Evelyn was looking beautiful as Sleeping Beauty, Kent had a good "Arrrg" as a pirate, and Oliver bounced along cooperatively as Tigger. We visited with Elizabeth and Travis new baby girl, Anna Lee. As always Rebecca Wilson provided a helping hand with the kids. She was in a particuarly good mood after the Harvest Dance the night before. Anson Cook was "Super Why" from our new favorite show on PBS!
